Today Fujifilm announced a number of new FinePix cameras. The S-Series consists of two "bridge cameras" that boast dSLR-like features and speed and body construction in the form of an affordable fixed lens camera. The S8200 and S8300 are virtually identical save for one difference. The F2.9-6.5 40x optical zoom lens equipped S8200 costs about $10 less than the 42x zoom S8300.

Otherwise, both S-series cameras include a high quality 16MP 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS image sensor capable of 1080/60i HD video recording, full resolution 10 frames per second continuous shooting, RAW image capture, Optical Image Stabilization, in-camera movie editing, and manual exposure controls.

For those who like to jazz up photos, Fuji will include filters like Pop Color (which pushes contrast and saturates color), Toy Camera (which shades an image's borders), Miniature (an in-camera tilt-shit photography look), Partial Color (which turns all but one selected color to black&white), High Key (enhances brightness and reduces contrast), Cross screen (blasts starbursts around bright objects), and Soft Focus (like old school Hollywood movies).
