Fujifilm FinePix S100FS Zoom Review

Features & Controls
The S100FS employs a powerful Fujinon f2.8-f5.3, 7.1-101.5mm 14.3x optical zoom lens that's equivalent to 28-400mm on a 35mm camera. This is a very powerful unit, which offers a great deal of versatility for composing your shots. The lens is protected by the included lens cap. You can also use 67 mm (2.6 in)-diameter thin type filters (like a polarizing filter). Be sure to use thin type filters as standard filters may cause vignetting. The included Lens hood has a removable "polarizing filter widnow cover". Once removed, it allows you to stick your finger throught the hood in order to rotate the filter.
This lens is zoomed manually by twisting the lens barrel, just like you would with a true dSLR model. This allows for very precise focal lenght adjustents and framing.
