Playback Screens & Menus


When you press the Play button on the back of the camera, the last image captured or viewed is shown full screen on the LCD. You can choose between four different inof options by pressing the DISP/Back button. They include: standard info, no info, favorites, and detail information. Pressing the INFO button will also bring up some extended photo info (EXIF data); not shown above.

fuji_hs30exr_play_index_anim.gifHere you can see Index mode, which allows you to quickly search through stored files that are saved on the memory card. The camera will show between 4, 6, 9, and 100 thumbnails, depending on how many times you press the AE/Zoom out button.

fuji_hs30exr_play_zoom_anim.gifTo critically inspect your images, the HS30 offers a Magnify option that is activated by pressing the ISO/Zoom in button. You can magnify an image by several degrees, and the camera will display both a zoom indicator as well as a key showing you what portion of the image is being magnified. Once you zoom in to the desired level, the 4-way controller allows you to scroll around the image.

fuji_hs30exr_play_movie.jpgYou can watch your recorded movies on the camera's 3.0-inch LCD and audio is played back with the built-in speaker. Once you press dwon to play a clip, the 4-way controller provides DVR-like controls to stop, fast-forward, etc. If the LCD isn't big enough for you, an optional HMI cord allows you to hook up to any HDTV, of you can use the standard definition A/V cable that's included; the output just won't me in HD.

  • Frame Number - Continuous, Renew
  • Operation Volume - Off, Low, Medium, High
  • Shutter Volume - Off, Low, Medium, High
  • Shutter Sound - Sound 1, Sound 2
  • Playback Volume - Set from 0 to 10
  • LCD Brightness - ± 5 steps
  • Monitor Sunlight Mode - On or Off
  • EVF/LCD Mode - 30fps, 60fps
  • Auto Power Off - 2 min., 5min. or Off
  • Quick Start Mode - Off, 10 Min, 24 Min
  • Fn Button - Choose the function of the Fn button.
  • Dual IS Mode - Continuous+Motion, Continuous, Shooting+Motion, Shooting Only, Off
  • Red Eye Removal - On, Off
  • AF Illuminator - Off or On
  • AE/AF Lock Mode - AE/AF - Lock Only, R/A:Release/AE/AF - Lock
  • AE/AF Lock Button- AE Lock Only, AF Lock Only, AE/AF Lock
  • RAW - RAW+JPG, RAW, Off
  • Focus Check - On, Off
  • Save Original Image - Red Eye Removal, Pro Low-Light Mode, Multi Motion Capture, Motion Remover
  • Autorotate PB - On, Off
  • Background Color - Choose the menu background color scheme
  • Guidance Display - On, Off
  • Video System - NTSC or PAL
  • Custom Reset - Reset settings for the C (Custom) position on the Mode Dial
  • Date Stamp - Date+Time, Date only, Time only
