Framing and viewing your images is done on the 2.7-inch, 230,000 dot LCD screen, featuring 100% coverage of the image area.
Controls on the back of the camera include a Mode Dial, which allows you to easily change your shooting mode. Under that are the playback and "F"unction buttons. The Function button provides you with a quick menu to certain settings based on the current shooting mode. Next we have the 4-way controller and MENU/OK button. The 4-way controller provides you with shortcuts to the Exposure Compensation (UP), Flash (RIGHT), Self-Timer (DOWN) and Macro (LEFT). Pressing the Menu button enters the camera menu, and also makes your selection. At the bottom are the DISP. and Face Detection buttons. DISP. controls the amount of information on the screen as well as backing out of menus without making a selection. The Face Detection button allows you to quickly turn on/off the face detection feature.
The F70 EXR's only I/O port is a USB port on the right side of the camera. It also acts as the A/V out with the specifically designed and supplied cable.
To compliment the 47MB of internal memory, the F70 EXR accepts SD and SDHC memory cards. Shown here is a SanDisk Ultra II, 15MB/s, 4GB SDHC memory card.
