Playback Screens & Menus
When you select Playback mode, the last picture that was taken is displayed. You can move backward or
forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons. The overlay information is
displayed for each image. By pressing the DISP button you can set it to display several different amounts of info, including allowing you to select your photos by the date taken.
There are 3 different index modes in which you can choose from. You can show two images side by side, 9 images, or with the high resolution LCD screen you can display 100 images in a 10x10 array.
The image can be magnified in several steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button.
Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around (Pan) inside of it.
Playback MENU options:
RED EYE REMOVAL - Removes the red color from the eyes of your subjects IMAGE ROTATE - Rotate the images on the camera PROTECT - Frame, Set All, Reset All COPY - Copy your images from internal memory to your xD card or visa versa VOICE MEMO - Record up to a 30-sec voice memo TRIMMING - Trim (crop) the image and save as new image SET-UP - enter the SETUP menu
If the camera uses the face detection when taking a picture, then it will tell you when you are viewing them in playback mode. It also gives you the option to zoom in on the faces by hitting the face detection button. If there are more than 1 face detected, it will continue to show the faces in the picture (Up to 10 per image).
Trim (crop) the current image and save it as a new image file.
Movie clips can be played in the camera or viewed on a TV using the supplied Audio/Video cables. The image number, resolution and date and time are shown before the video is played. During playback, the length of the video is shown.
As with the F40fd, this camera also includes the IR Communication tool. This allows you to transfer data between two Fuji
cameras without any cables. All you have to do is point the IR sensors at each other and specify which
camera will send and which will receive. For a single picture, the transfer time was around 2 seconds.
