The FinePix F470 makes shooting simple with an automatic Program AE exposure mode plus 10 scene modes that provide the correct setting for picture success. These scene modes include the familiar "Portrait", "Sport", "Landscape" and "Night" settings, as well as more defined settings such as "Beach and Snow", "Sunset", "Museum", "Party", "Flower Close-Up" and "Text" along with a manual mode. The large 2.5-inch color LCD won't leave you in the dark. It has an automatic gain-up that senses low-light and brightens to compensate. The LCD's live image can be further brightened with a manual control, a big boon to the photographer when shooting in restaurants and other dimly lit environments.
The FinePix F470 has 16MB of internal memory which is easily expanded by purchasing an
optional xD-Picture Card from 16MB to 1GB. Downloading images and movies to the host PC
is via a standard USB port that is Pictbridge compatible for computerless photo printing
with most modern printers. Camera power is supplied by a small but powerful and
rechargeable Li-ion battery with an approx. capacity of up to 200 frames.
Priced at $279, Fujfilm's FinePix F470 digital camera will be available for purchase March
2006 - see our PriceGrabber box below for pricing and vendors.
