The introduction of the FinePix A101 and A201 models signifies the birth of a new series of Fujifilm FinePix digital cameras, the A-Series. Designed specifically for picture-takers looking to take their first steps into the world of digital photography, the A-Series offers simple, streamlined functions, sure to make a beginner's digital experience fun and pleasant.
The pocket-size A201 features a 2-megapixel CCD imager and a fixed focus lens with a 2.5x digital zoom feature that delivers the color, sharpness and overall picture-quality typically associated with more expensive models. Its image resolution of 1600 x 1200 is sufficient for printing photo-quality 8 x 10-inch prints. User-friendly controls and Fujifilm's Internet-ready FinePixViewer software make capturing and downloading photos a snap with the cameras' convenient USB computer connectivity.
The ultra-compact and lightweight bodies of the FinePix A-Series are the end result of a 30% reduction in power consumption when compared to previous FinePix entry-level models and all include such fun features as PC-cam and video recording capabilities.
The FinePix A201 is priced at $249 and will be available in September 2001.
