The FinePix 3800 builds on the success of Fuji's popular FinePix 2800 Zoom and offers advanced features and controls in addition to point-and-shoot convenience. The FinePix 3800 offers a variety of higher-end photographic features including a manual mode with aperture control and exposure compensation, a high-quality 6x optical zoom lens and support for optional lens adaptors and filters.

The FinePix 3800's 3.24 million effective pixel CCD ensures crisp, colorful and sharp images for photo-quality prints up to 11 x 14 inches in size. It also captures full motion video at 10fps with audio. You can use the audio recording capability to attach up to 30 second voice memos to still images. With the included software the camera functions as a video conferencing device.

The FinePix 3800 weighs only 10 oz. without batteries. It comes bundled with the AR-FX3 lens adapter for lens adapters and 55mm filters, four AA Alkaline batteries, USB cable, shoulder strap, 16MB xD-Picture Card, FinePixViewer, ImageMixer VCD for FinePix, DP Editor and Apple QuickTime™ 5.0. The camera will be available for purchase in October 2002 for $449.99.

• Optical zoom -The FinePix 3800 boasts the longest zoom in its category -- a 6x optical zoom lens with the ability to use external lens adapters for those long distance and wide-angle shots.

• Manual mode - The FinePix 3800's manual mode encompasses five separate and specific settings - exposure compensation, white-balance, flash brightness, sharpness and aperture settings for manual changes in depth of field.
