Flip Video Ultra HD Features & Controls

The Flip Ultra HD has a fixed 1.5mm - infinity f/2.4 lens. Along with the ultra low-light sensitivity (>1.4 V/lux-sec) with automatic low light detection, it performs very well in low-light situations. There is no optical zoom, but there is the option of the smooth 2x digital zoom.

The back of the camera is very simple, with just the very basic of controls and a 2.0-inch LCD screen. The controls consist of the play and delete buttons on the outside and a 4-way controller in the middle. Pressing up and down controls the digital zoom, while left and right scroll through the previously recorded videos. In the center is large red record button.

On the left side of the camera is the HDMI video out port along with the built-in USB connecter. This is not only used to transfer your movies to the computer, but also to charge the batteries.

Your movie clips are all stored on the built-in 8GB memory, so you do not have to worry about buying and using memory cards. The 8GB allows for 120 minutes of HD video capture.

The Ultra HD is powered by two AA type batteries. The camera comes with a 2100mAh Ni-MH battery pack which allows for 2.5 hours of recording and playback between charges.
