As with the Record mode, the Play mode incorporates the menu options into the screen display. The first page of menu overlays lets you Delete the current image or All images, Lock (protect) an image, bring up the thumbnail index mode with the Multi option.

The second set of menu overlays lets you run a slideshow, turn the sound on or off, playback a video clip or display the Info screen - see next frame.

Pressing the INFO button (above) brings up this screen with the extended exposure information including, date / time, shutter speed, aperture, EV compensation, flash mode, white balance value and metering mode.

The playback Zoom lets you enlarge the image up to 3x with many intermediate steps. Once magnified you can scroll around inside of the image to check for critical focus, color or composition.

The Index playback mode brings up a screen full of small thumbnail images so you can quickly search through the stored images to find any desired picture.

Your video clips can be played back fullscreen on the color LCD with sound from the internal speaker.
