Playback Screens & Menus
When you select Playback mode the last picture taken is displayed. You can
move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons.
Pressing the 4-way controller "Up" will display the INFORMATION overlay data with
the folder-filename, file size, image quality, image size, shutter speed, aperture,
exposure compensation, DPOF settings and the capture date and time.
The MULTI option of the D.MENU in playback will display the images in an index
page with six thumbnails per page.
The image can be magnified either 2x or 4x by pressing the zoom telephoto button.
Once the image is enlarged at either step, you can move around inside of it using the 4-way
selector buttons.
Movie clips can be played in the camera with audio thanks to the builtin speaker.
Here is the full info screen shown before playing a movie clip.
Pressing the D.MENU button pops up a menu bar across the bottom of the screen. Here you can
select MULTI for the index page, RECORDING to attach an audio note, PROTECT to protect or
unprotect image(s), ERASE to delete, ERASE ALL to delete all, RESIZE lets you resize/crop
images, ROTATE lets you rotate portrait mode images for display on a TV, AUTO PLAY is for
slideshows on the TV and PRINT lets you set the DPOF printing information.
For proper display on a TV screen you use the Rotate option on any pictures that you
have taken in portrait (vertical) mode.
The Resize option lets you resize and/or crop a larger image down to either
320x240 or 160x120 size for email purposes.
The Sound Memo options lets you record memos or notes up to 30 seconds in length which
are attached to still images. You can overwrite or delete previous memos.
The Setup mode has two main options, SETUP C is for the camera settings and SETUP D is
for the digital features. Here's an animated look at the three SETUP D screens.
