Record Screens & Menus

When framing and composing your images, there are three different amounts of information that can be on the screen, either none, basic or full (including full color histogram). Pressing the DISP. button on the back of the camera allows you to change what you see quickly, with just the touch of a button.

Pressing the shutter release half way down locks the camera's focus and exposure settings. If the auto-focus is successful you will see the green marks in the middle, if it is not these marks will be red. On the right is the exposure information. The camera has selected ISO 400, aperture of F3.1, 1/13 of a second shutter speed. Finally at the top you can see the flash setting, which is off.

A quick menu is available by pressing the SET button inside the 4-way controller. By default this menu will show settings for the image size and quality, Movie quality, Flash, Self-Timer, AF Mode, ISO, easy Mode, Face Detection, and the date and time.

While in the quick menu, you can press the MENU button to bring up a list of shortcuts that can be displayed in the quick menu. You may choose any eight of the items shown above.
