Pressing the Play button brings up the image last captured. The default information is displayed: 8 megapixel, file number, battery level indicator, and time and date of capture are shown. Pressing the 4-way controller left or right scrolls through the stored images. A "musical note" icon (not shown) indicates there is an audio memo attached, press the SET button to play the audio. Pressing the DISP. button will allow you to change the amount of info by adding more plus a histogram or by getting rid of it completely.

You can search through stored images using the Index function by pressing the wide angle zoom button. Updated from older models, the EX-Z80 now will display 12 images instead of nine, allowing you to select one using the LEFT/RIGHT and UP/DOWN buttons and then pressing the Set or Telephoto zoom buttons.

The playback image can be magnified up to 8x when you press the telephoto button. You can scroll around inside of the enlarged image. Pressing the wide angle button will shrink it back down again.

Here you can see the playback of a movie, which is saved in .MOV format. It gives you "VCR" like buttons to control Rewind, Play, Fast-Foward, Stop, and volume.

You can edit the length of the movie clips.

Play Menu:

    Slide show - Allows you to run a slide show of all or some of the pictures and videos
    Layout Print - Selects a layout for printing multiple pictures
    Motion Print - Allows you to print a frame from a video
    Movie Editing - Allows you to cut and edit videos inside the camera
    Dynamic Range - Expand +2, Expand +1, Off
    White Balance - Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Shade, Fluorescent N, Fluorescent D, Tungsten, and Manual
    Brightness - -2, -1, 0, +1, +2
    Keystone - Allows you to correct the shape of rectangular objects
    Color Correction - Adjust the color of the photograph
    DPOF Printing - Select Images, All Images
    Protect - On, All files on
    Date/Time - Set date and time
    Rotation - Rotate
    Resize - 5M (2560x1920), 3M (2048x1536), VGA (640x480)
    Trimming - Cropping an image inside the camera
    Dubbing - Adding audio over an image
    Copy - Copy files from internal memory to memory card or memory card to internal memory

If you shot your picture at the highest resolution and need it for email or web use then select the Resize option and create a 6m (2816x2112), 4m (2304x1728), or VGA (640 x 480) size image.

You can rotate the picture inside the camera by 90 degrees at a time.

    Panel - Shortcut menu along the right hand side of the frame; On or Off
    Display - Wide or 4:3
    Sounds - Adjust camera sounds (Startup, Shutter, Operation, and Volume)
    Menu Color - EXILIM Red, Pink, Blue, Green, Orange
    Startup - On (Selectable image), Off
    File No. - Continue or Reset
    World Time - Home and World Time setup (city, DST, etc.)
    Timestamp - Off, Date, Date & Time
    Adjust - Set Time and Date
    Date Style - YY/MM/DD, DD/MM/YY, MM/DD/YY
    Language - Choose menu language
    Sleep - 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, Off
    Auto Power Off - 2 min, 5 min
    REC / Play - Power On, Power On/Off, Disable
    USB - Mass Storage (USB DIRECT-PRINT), PTP (PictBridge)
    Video Out - NTSC or PAL
    Format - Format, Cancel
    Reset - Restore factory defaults
