Pressing the Play button brings up the image last captured. The default information is displayed: image size (6-megapixel), quality (Fine), file number, battery level indicator, and time and date of capture are shown. Pressing the 4-way controller left or right scrolls through the stored images. A "musical note" icon (not shown) indicates there is an audio memo attached, press the SET button to play the audio.

Pressing the DISP button enables the display of the exposure data: EV compensation (0.0), ISO used (ISO 50) Best Shot mode used (Auto), flash mode, white balance (AWB), metering, Aperture value (f4.3), Shutter speed (1/200) as well as the histogram.

You can search through stored images using the Index function by pressing the wide angle zoom button. Nine thumbnail size images will be displayed and you can select one using the LEFT/RIGHT and UP/DOWN buttons and then pressing the Set or Telephoto zoom buttons.

The playback image can be magnified up to 8x when you press the telephoto button. You can scroll around inside of the enlarged image. Pressing the wide angle button will shrink it back down again.

Here you can see the playback of a movie, which is saved in .AVI format. It gives you "VCR" like buttons to control Rewind, Play, Fast-Foward, Stop, and volume.

You can edit the length of the movie clips.

From the Play menu you can start an automated Slideshow, enter the calendar index, create a MotionPrint from a movie, edit a movie, use Keystone correction, correct the color of an image, copy Favorite pictures to the FAVORITES folder in internal memory, set DPOF printing information, Protect image(s) from deletion, change the time and date and image was captured, Rotate portrait mode images, Resize images for web use or email, Trim (crop) images, include a voice memo (Dubbing), and Copy images from the internal memory to an SD card or vice-versa.

Audio memos up to 30 secs. can be recorded and attached to still images.

You can also play back your audio-only clips. The sound will be heard through the camera's built in speaker.

If you shot your picture at the highest resolution and need it for email or web use then select the Resize option and create a 3m (2048x1536), 2m (1600 x 1200) or VGA (640 x 480) size image.

    Sounds - Adjust camera sounds (Startup, Shutter, Operation, and Volume)
    Startup - On (Selectable image), Off
    File No. - Continue or Reset
    World Time - Home and World Time setup (city, DST, etc.)
    Adjust - Set Time and Date
    Date Style - YY/MM/DD, DD/MM/YY, MM/DD/YY
    Language - Choose menu language
    Sleep - 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, Off
    Auto Power Off - 2 min, 5 min
    REC / Play - Power On, Power On/Off, Disable
    USB - Mass Storage (USB DIRECT-PRINT), PTP (PictBridge)
    Video Out - NTSC or PAL
    Format - Format, Cancel
    Reset - Restore factory defaults
