The built-in flash on the Z33 features Auto, On, Off and Red-Eye Reduction modes, and has a maximum charge time of 6 seconds. The small light shown under the flash is a red light that indicates that the self-timer is active.
Flash Range (ISO Auto):
- Wide: 0.3ft.-9.5ft.
- Telephoto: 1.3ft.-5.2ft.
Framing and viewing your images is done on Casio's 230,400 (960x240) dot LCD screen. This screen is also used to navigate the menus and change your camera settings.
Back Controls: At the top you see the dedicated Video Record button that allows you to capture video instantly, no matter what shooting mode you are in. Next come the Playback and SHooting Mode buttons, allowing you to easily change between the two modes. Under that is the 4-way controller and SET button. These allow you to search your stored images, navigate your menus and change your shooting settings. At the bottom are buttons that open the camera Menu (MENU) and Scene mode menu (BS).
A USB port is used to transfer your images from the camera to your computer. This port also allows you to view your images on a TV via an optional A/V Cable.
Since the 16.9MB of internal storage will not hold more than a few images, the Casio Exilim Z33 also accepts SD and SDHC memory cards. Shown here is a speedy SanDisk Ultra II, 15MB/s, SDHC card.
Approx Storage Capacities:
Powering the Z33 is a 3.7V, 710mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery. This battery contains enough power to capture approx. 210 shots on a single charge.
