Playback Modes

Pressing the Play button brings up the image last captured. The default information is
displayed: image size (8-megapixel), quality (Fine), file number, battery level indicator, and
time and date of capture are shown. Pressing the 4-way controller left or right scrolls through
the stored images. A "musical note" icon (not shown) indicates there is an audio memo attached,
press the SET button to play the audio.
Pressing the DISPlay button will bring up the +Histogram option. It also shows extended exposure
data: EV compensation (0.0), ISO used (ISO 64) Best Shot mode used (Auto), flash mode, white
balance (AWB), metering, Aperture value (f2.7), Shutter speed (1/1000) as well as the histogram.
Pressing it again will remove all information and just show the picture.
Pressing the DISplay button along the top of the LCD brings up the Display menu. Here you can change the
layout, control the amount of information displayed, adjust the brightness, or change the display type.
The playback image can be magnified up to 8x when you press
the telephoto button. You can scroll around inside of the enlarged
image. Pressing the wide angle button will
shrink it back down again.
Here you can see the playback of a movie, which is saved in .MOV format with H.264 compression. It gives you "VCR" like
buttons to control Rewind, Play, Fast-Foward, Stop, and volume.
You can edit the length of the movie clips.
MENU (Play tab):
Slide Show - Plays a slide show of all the pictures on the memory card with effects
Audio memos up to 30 secs. can be recorded and attached to still images.
You can also play back your audio-only clips. The
sound will be heard through the camera's built in speaker.
If you shot your picture at the highest resolution and need it for email or web use, then select
the Resize option and create a 6m (2816x2112), 4m (2304x1728), or VGA (640 x 480) size image.
