Pressing the Play button brings up the image last captured. The default information is displayed: image size (12-megapixel), quality (Fine), file number, battery level indicator, and time and date of capture are shown. Pressing the 4-way controller left or right scrolls through the stored images. A "musical note" icon (not shown) indicates there is an audio memo attached, press the SET button to play the audio. Pressing the DISPlay button will bring up the +Histogram option. It also shows extended exposure data: EV compensation (0.0), ISO used (ISO 64) Best Shot mode used (Auto), flash mode, white balance (AWB), metering, Aperture value (f5.3), Shutter speed (1/200) as well as the histogram. Pressing it again will remove all information and just show the picture. The amount of information can be changed by pressing the DISP. button.

Press the zoom "W"ide button to enter the Index mode which can show 12 thumbnail images per page. Pressing it again brings up the calendar view, allowing you to select images by the date they were taken.

Press the zoom "T"ele button to enlarge the playback image. It can be magnified from 1.3x to 8x in multiple steps, once enlarged you can scroll around inside of it using the 4-way controller. At any magnification step you can save the cropped image by pressing the Menu button.

Playback Menu:
    Slideshow - Runs a Slideshow of selected images on the memory card
    Dynamic Photo - Combines Images to create an image with dynamic range
    Layout Print - Select a print layout
    Motion Print - Allows you to print frames from a movie
    Movie Editing - Allows you to edit movies inside the camera
    Lighting - Cancel, +1, +2
    Red Eye - Fixes red eye in an image
    White Balance - Change the white balance setting after the image is captured
    Brightness - Adjust the brightness after the image is captured
    Keystone - Attempts to correct barrel distortion in an image
    Color Correction - Automatically adjusts the images color
    DPOF Printing - Set images for printing
    Protect - Protect files from deletion
    Date/Time - Set the date and time for the camera
    Rotation - Change the orientation of an image
    Resize - Change the size of an image
    Trimming - Crop your image
    Dubbing - Add an audio message to the image, up to 30 seconds
    Copy - Copy back and forth between the internal memory and the SD card
    Divide Group - Separates groups of images taken continuously

The trimming feature allows you to adjust your framing inside the camera.

Resize allows you to save a much smaller copy of the original image.

Allows you to change the orientation of the image by 90� at a time.

Movies are played back in full screen mode, playback starts by pressing the 4-way controller's center OK button.

During playback, the 4-way controller's left and right buttons are used to select the playback controls displayed at the top of the LCD; pressing the OK button performs the selected action. The bar at the bottom indicates the playback position with the running time in seconds displayed on the right.

    Panel - Turn the side panel on or off
    Display - Wide, 4:3
    Screen - Auto 2, Auto, 1, +2, +1, 0
    Eye-Fi - On or Off
    Sounds - Adjust the different sounds made by the camera
    Startup - On or Off
    File Number - Continuous, Reset
    World Time - Choose the time and location you are in
    Timestamp - Date, Date&Time, Off
    Adjust - Adjust time
    Date Style - How the date is displayed
    Language - 17 different languages
    DATA View - Page View, List View
    Sleep -Sleep time for the camera
    Auto Power Off - Turns camera off after a set time
    REC/PLAY - REC/PLAY buttons turn the camera on or off
    USB - Mass Storage, PTP(PictBridge)
    Video Out - NTSC (4:3, 16:9), PAL (4:3, 16:9)
    Format - Format, Cancel
    Reset - Restore factory defaults
