Playback Modes
Turning the Mode Dial to the PLAY position brings up the image last
captured. Pressing the 4-way controller left or right scrolls through the
stored images. The "musical note" icon indicates that an audio memo has
been attached to the image and the "Key" shows the image is protected from
deletion. To play the audio you press the SET button.
Pressing the DISP button enables the display of all of the exposure data: Shutter
speed, aperture, ISO value, Shooting mode, Flash mode, White Balance and Metering option
as well as the histogram.
Pressing the zoom control to Wide angle changes the playback display
format to the thumbnail index mode with nine images per page. You can quickly search
through your stored images to find one to display full screen with the 4-way
controller.
The playback image can be magnified up to 8x in many steps each time you press
the zoom Telephoto button. You can scroll around inside of the enlarged
image using the 4-way controller. Pressing the Zoom Wide angle button will
reduce it back down again.
Pressing the MENU button in PLAY mode brings up this screen. From here you
can start an automated Slide show, use Motion Print to select a frame from
a movie and create a still image, edit movies, set DPOF printing
information, Protect image(s) from deletion, Rotate portrait mode images,
Resize image to smaller size for web use or e-mail, Trim (crop) images, add
a voice memo with the Dubbing feature and Copy images from internal memory
to SD card or vice-versa. The Setup menu is identical to Setup menu in
record mode, see the previous review page.
Here you can see the playback of a movie, which is saved in .AVI format. It
gives you "VCR" like buttons that allow you to Rewind, Pause, Fast-Foward,
and Stop clips.
The Movie Editing feature shown above is found under the Play menu and
allows you to edit the beginning, middle, or end of a movie clip.
Audio memos up to 30 secs. can be recorded and attached to still images.

You can also play back your audio-only clips. The
sound will be heard through the camera's built in speaker.
If you shot your picture at the highest resolution and need it for e-mail or web
use then select the Resize option and create a 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960 or 640 x 480 size image.
The Trimming feature allows you to crop photos in the camera.

Create HTML-based photo albums.
You can select from a variety of page styles and background colors and then the camera
will create all the necessary HTML code. You can now view all your pictures using an
Internet browser like Internet Explorer, no special graphic programs required.
