Casio EX-FS10 Review
Record Modes & Screens
AUTO record mode offers very few menu options, just image resolution and quality. The "9M" icon
indicates the image resolution is 9-megapixels at Fine quality and there's 105 pictures remaining at the
current image resolution. The zoom lens gauge is shown for a few moments whenever the focal length is
changed (not shown above). Pressing the 4-way controller up changes the amount of information shown on the LCD screen.
Due to the movie record button this is also the movie record scene. You can record AVI. Movie clips limited in length only by the amount of remaining available memory. Sound is recorded with the moving image, and the optical zoom can not be used during movie recording - it can be preset before recording begins.
When you half-press the shutter release the autofocus is locked and the exposure is calculated and set. If
autofocus was successful the AF marks will turn green, if it fails they turn red and blink. You will also
see the selected shutter speed and aperture values across the bottom.
Pressing the SET button brings up a shortcut menu that gives you access to a number of the most commonly changed settings. Pressing the 4-way controller down skips you directly to the flash portion of this menu.
