Pressing up on the 4-way controller allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the screen while in Playback mode. You can choose from No info, Basic info and a full list of the shooting info, including a full-color histogram for each image.
Index mode allows you to quickly browse through your images by displaying 25 thumbnail images at a time. The camera's index mode can be selected by pressing the wide end of the zoom.

Pressing the zoom lever to the telephoto end allows the camera to zoom in on an image in several steps from 1.3x to 8.0x magnification. Once you have zoomed in, you can use the 4-way controller to scroll through the image.
When the camera captures images in burst mode, they are saved in groups. These groups allow you to play the entire series of images like a movie, or to look through them one at a time.
The burst groups can be divided, which will separate the individual images. You can choose to divide just one group or all of them at once.
Playback Menu:
- Slideshow - Runs a Slideshow of selected images on the memory card
Motion Print - Allows you to print frames from a movie
Movie Editing - Allows you to edit movies inside the camera
White Balance - Change the white balance setting after the image is captured
Brightness - Adjust the brightness after the image is captured
DPOF Printing - Set images for printing
Protect - Protect files from deletion
Rotation - Change the orientation of an image
Resize - Change the size of an image
Trimming - Crop your image
Copy - Copy back and forth between the internal memory and the SD card
Divide Group - Separates groups of images taken continuously
CS Multi Print - Allows you to print a set of images from your groups of continuous shots

Trimming or "Cropping" allows you to zoom in on an image and save a new image of just what you see on your screen. This allows you to adjust your composition or remove anything that is unwanted from the edges of an image.
Resize allows you to save a new, smaller copy of an image that you have already captured. This is a fast and simple way to resize images for web, blog and email use.
Rotation gives you the option to change the orientation of your images by 90° at a time.
Movie playback allows you to play, stop, search though your images. With the high speed movies, you can even select the playback speed.

Sounds - Adjust the different sounds made by the camera
File Number - Continuous, Reset
World Time - Choose the time and location you are in
Timestamp - Date, Date&Time, Off

Date Style - How the date is displayed
Language - 17 different languages
Sleep -Sleep time for the camera
Auto Power Off - Turns camera off after a set time
REC/PLAY - REC/PLAY buttons turn the camera on or off
USB - Mass Storage, PTP(PictBridge)
Video Out - NTSC (4:3, 16:9), PAL (4:3, 16:9)
HDMI Output - Auto, 1080i, 480p, 576p
Startup - Shows an image when the camera is turned on
Format - Format, Cancel
Reset - Restore factory defaults
