Casio's Exilim Pro EX-F1 is a Prosumer model that has been designed towards those who want the features and control of a dSLR model, without having to deal with an actual interchangeable lens system. This 6-megapixel models offers a CMOS imaging sensor combined with Casio's high-speed LSI processor. These two combined allow the EX-F1 to boast the world's fastest burst shooting performance out of a consumer level digicam (as of 9/2008). This impressive camera can achieve up to 60 frames per second (fps) when shooting still images, or an amazing 1200 fps using the High-Speed movie mode. This is faster than the human eye can see, so the EX-F1 also features ultra-slow motion replay. On top of this F1's super car like speed, it includes Full High Definition (HD) video capture at 1920x1080 (60fps).

Users can record images not just at the instant they press the shutter button, but before. Continuously recording at up to 60 images per second, a maximum of 60 images can be saved in the camera's own buffer memory even before the shutter button is depressed. Even if users press the shutter a little late, they will still be able to catch that vital moment.

The EX-F1 uses the H.264 video standard, which utilizes the AAC audio codec widely enjoyed in Apple's iPod, etc. The camera's High-Definition movie recording modes included 1920x1080 or 1280x720 resolutions. There's also the Standard Definition 640x480 mode. Not only can you connect this camera to a standard TV set or HDTV via RCA output cables, but the EX-F1 also offers HDMI output with an optional cable. This will allow you to truly experience the HD capabilities of this model.
