While in record mode, you have the choice to display the shooting information or to shoot without any information at all on the screen. When the information is on, the shooting mode will determine how much information you see. Here auto mode will not only set all of your shooting settings for you, but it will also choose the correct scene mode for your shot.

Program mode gives you control over certain settings such as the ISO and White Balance. The camera will, however, still choose your other settings for you, so you have more creativity with the luxury of an automatic mode.

Manual mode gives you complete control over the camera settings, including the aperture and shutter speed settings. Besides manual, the camera also features Aperture and Shutter priorities, which give you full control as well.

Half-pressing the shutter release button allows the camera to focus on a point and show you the shooting settings before you shoot. Shown here are the current shooting settings.
