Canon's new PowerShot ELPH 150 IS is one of three new affordable ELPH cameras for spring 2014. As the priciest model, it includes everything from the ELPH 135 and ELPH 140 IS --which we'll get into momentarily -- but adds in a larger 20.0-megapixel CCD image sensor (vs. 16.0) and a longer 10x optical zoom lens (vs. 8x) for a $20 premium over the ELPH 140 IS.
The ELPH 150 IS also includes the DIGIC 4+ image processor; 720p HD video recording; 3.0-inch LCD display; Smart AUTO Mode, which selects optimal settings for current shooting conditions; ECO Mode, which dims (or turns off the LCD) to reduce battery consumption; and a Help Button, which helps newer users learn more about their camera's functions, settings, and features.
