When you press the playback button on the back of the camera, the last picture taken is displayed full screen (depending on the menu setting). You can move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons. The amount of overlay information displayed is controlled by pressing the DISP. button. You can choose from no info, basic info, a full detailed list of settings with histogram or a AF-point zoom view to check focus. This view also will show you all faces that were detected in the photo.

You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function which is actuated by pressing the Wide zoom control button. Nine thumbnail size images will be displayed and you can select one using the LEFT or RIGHT buttons and then pressing the Telephoto zoom button. Pressing the Wide button again will put you in jump mode where you can backward or forward a page at a time.

The jump feature allows you to quickly search through your images by shot date, my category, folder, movie files, jump 10, or jump 100 images at a time.

The image can be magnified up to 10x in ten steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button. Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around inside of it using the 4-way selector buttons.

Playback Menu:

    Slide Show - Plays a slide show of all of the images on the camera
    My Category - Allows you to view your pictures by category or allows
      you to label pictures with categories
    Erase - Allows you to erase one or all of the images on the memory card
    Protect - Allows you to protect images from being deleted
    i-Contrast - Brighten the background of images
    Red-Eye Correction - Removes Red-Eye from your images
    Trimming - Allows you to crop your images inside the camera
    Resize - Save the current image at a smaller resolution
    My Colors - Change the color scheme of the photo
    Rotate - Rotates the image 90� at a time
    Resume - Last Seen or Last Shot
    Transition - Choose a transition for viewing your photographs

i-Contrast will automatically adjust the contrast levels of your images. You also have the option of manually choosing Low, Medium and High contrast settings.

Resize allows you to make your images smaller on the camera without the need for a computer. The picture will save as new file so that you do not lose the original.

The rotate feature allows the camera to rotate an image without a computer 90� at a time.

Red Eye Correction allows the camera to remove any instances of Red Eye from your people photographs with just a press of a button. You then have the option to overwrite the existing file or save it as a new one.

Movie clips can be played in the camera with audio thanks to the built-in speaker. Press the FUNC. / SET button to play a clip, or use any of the other VCR-like controls.

    Create Folder - Create a storage folder for your images
    Auto Rotate - On or Off
    Power Saving - Auto Power Down, Display Off settings
    Time Zone - Set your home and travel time zones
    Date/Time - Set the date and time
    Distance Units - Choose m/cm or ft/in
    Video System - NTSC, PAL
    Language - Choose from one of the 25 languages
    Reset All - Reset the camera to the factory defaults
