Canon PowerShot A810 Preview

The Canon PowerShot A810 is the most affordable model in the entry-level A series announced by Canon today. While the A810 will only set you back $109.99, it's got a lot in common with its more expensive siblings, including a 16 megapixel CCD image sensor, 720p HD video recording, Smart AUTO (which automatically choses from 32 shooting modes to capture great photos in any lighting conditions), a 28mm wide angle lens, and a Help Button (new for this year) to bolster the confidence of anyone not at home with electronic gadgets.
The A810 costs about $10 less than the A1300, which also features a 2.7-inch LCD screen and a 5x optical zoom and runs on AA batteries. But the 810 does not include an optical viewfinder; you must frame all your shots with the LCD screen, which is what most people do anyway.
