Canon Powershot A480 Review
Playback Modes & Screens
When you press the Playback button, the last image captured is displayed full screen. The camera has no DISP. button so you will have to go into the playback menu in order to change the amount of information shown.
You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function which is actuated by pressing the Wide zoom control button. Nine thumbnail size images will be displayed and you can select one using the LEFT or RIGHT buttons and then pressing the Telephoto zoom button. Pressing the Wide button again will put you in jump mode where you can backward or forward a page at a time.
The playback image can be magnified in several steps, you can then scroll around the image using the 4-way selector. Press the telephoto zoom button to enlarge and the wide angle button to shrink.
The jump feature allows you to quickly search through your images in preset numbers 10, folder, movie, shot date or 100.
Movie clips can be played in the camera with audio thanks to the built-in speaker. Press the FUNC. / SET button to play a clip, or use any of the other VCR-like controls.
