Playback Mode Screens & Menus
When you switch to Playback mode, the last picture captured is displayed full screen. To view the extended
exposure information, you have to enter the playback menu and make your changes there.The extended exposure
information includes the file name, recording mode (auto or manual),exposure compensation, white balance
setting, ISO speed, flash mode used, metering mode, frame number / number total recorded, size/quality
settings, and the date and time of capture.
You can also clear all of the information for displaying images on a TV set.
Press and hold FUNC/SET button for two seconds or enter the playback menu to display the thumbnail index mode with
nine small images per page. You can quickly go through stored images and find
the one you want to display full screen.
The image can be magnified up to 10x in ten steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button.
Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around inside of it using the 4-way
selector buttons.
The camera has built in red eye correction software that allows you to quickly remove any redness from the
eyes of your subjects. You can see an example of how well this feature works by taking a look at our sample photos page.
Resize allows you to change the resolution of the photograph, making it smaller to save space on the memory card.
The rotate option allows you to change the orientation of the image by 90° at a time.
Playback Menu:
Image Display - Single, Index
Info Display - Standard, Detailed, Off
Jump To... - Allows you to skip through your pictures by the date that they were taken
Slide Show - Shows a slide show of the pictures on the camera
My Category - Allows you to categorize your photos
Red-Eye Correction - Remove red-eye from your photographs
Resize - Change the resolution of your photographs
Sound Memo - Record a message to be heard when you view the photograph
Protect - Lock an image so it can't be deleted
Rotate - Change the orientation of the image by 90°
Erase All - Erase all the pictures on the memory card
Transfer Order - Choose the order your images will be transferred from the camera
Resume - Last Seen, Last Shot
Transition - Select a transition
You get "VCR-like" buttons to control the playback of movie clips.
The Print menu lets you select images to print, # to print, and the print settings.
Setup Menu:
Mute - On or Off
Volume - Adjust the volume of several different sounds on the camera
Start-up Image - On or Off
Power Saving - Allows you to select when and if the camera will shut itself off
Date/Time - Set the date and time
Format - Format the memory card
File Numbering - Continuous, Auto Reset
Create Folder - Create a new folder on the memory card to store your images
Auto Rotate - Allows the camera to rotate the image so that it is always upright
Lens Retract - Set the time for the camera to retract the lens when not in use
Language - Choose from one of the 25 languages
Video System - NTSC or Pal
Print Method - Auto,
