Record Screens & Menus

Easy mode allows anyone to pick up the camera and start shooting without having to worry about camera settings. The only option available in this mode is turning the flash from auto to off.

canon_a3100is_rec_auto.JPGAuto mode is another worry-free shooting mode that takes care of most of the camera's settings for you. Besides the flash, you also have access to image size, face detection and the camera's shooting menu.

canon_a3100is_rec_program.JPGProgram mode gives the user the most control. This is still not a manual shooting mode, so the camera will always choose your shutter speed and aperture to make sure you have a properly exposed image. You do however, have control over a variety of other settings.

canon_a3100is_rec_ready.JPGWhen you half press the shutter release, the auto-focus system will choose a focus point. Depending on the camera settings, a green rectangle will appear to show you where focus was obtained. If the camera cannot obtain focus, the rectangle will turn red.
