The PowerShot A1400 is a basic point-n-shoot camera that offers a very appealing price of about $100. With a capable Auto mode, 5x zoom, and AA power source, it is well suited for beginners, or anyone else that's looking for an inexpensive, compact camera. The downfall to such a great price is subpar image quality, limited features, and slow burst shooting. Read more in our Full Conclusion. |
Yet another affordable A-series camera from Canon for 2013, the PowerShot A1400 is compact point-n-shoot with a more ergonomic design compared to most other models in this price range. Instead of a featureless rectangular design, the A1400 offers a nice enlarged hand grip on the right hand side, giving you a more comfortable and secure grip on the camera. Another feature you hardly every seen anymore if an optical viewfinder for your framing needs.
This model replaces the A1300 from last year, however it shares almost identical specifications. See the main feature list below to see what the A1400 is packing.
