Record Screens & Menus

Keeping the Canon EOS-M as easy to use as their point-n-shoot cameras, Canon has included the same auto shooting mode that is found on all of their PowerShot models. This auto mode takes all the guess work out of your photography, allowing you to just point-n-shoot. The camera will take care of all of the settings for you, including choosing the correct scene mode for your current shooting situation. The touch screen also allows you to touch the LCD where you would like the camera to focus and the camera will focus and capture the image for you.

If you prefer more control over the camera, then the normal shooting mode offers Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual modes. These offer the same control options that you will find on any dSLR. Pressing the INFO button to change the amount of information on the LCD screen also allows you to access the information screen, which is very similar to the information screen of one of the EOS dSLR's.

The quick menu offers a slew of shooting settings together on one screen. Selecting and changing the settings is very easy with the 4-way controller and command dial or just by touching the options on the LCD screen.

The drive modes of the EOS-M are very simple and the same as you will find on the PowerShot models. Single, burst, remote and some custom self-timers give you plenty of options for shooting.
