Playback Modes & Menus
Pressing the Play button calls up either the last image/video captured or the last file viewed along with little to no exposure information. While you're in Play mode pressing the DISP. button controls the amount of information displayed on the LCD from: quality (L) and the image number (129 of 145 images), complete exposure info and a brightness histogram, the RGB histogram, no information.
While in Play mode you can display an index of the last 4 images by pressing the AE Lock/Index button (the checker board icon). Pressing the Index button again changes the screen to the last 9 images. You can use the 4-way controller to navigate through your images.
If you would like to enlarge an image to examine it more closely just press the AF point selection/Magnify button (the magnifying glass icon). Each time you press the button the image is magnified more until you reach the maximum of 10x. At any step you can scroll around inside the image using the 4-way controller.
Play menu options:
Protect - Protect/unprotect images
Rotate - Manually rotate portrait mode images
Erase images - Select and erase images or All images on card
Print Order - Set DPOF printing information
Transfer Order - Select images to be transferred to the computer
Histogram - Select Brightness or RGB histogram
Slide Show - Start and automated slide show playback
Image Jump w/main control dial - 1 image, 10 images, 100 images, Screen, Date, Folder, Movies, Stills
Video files are played back full screen with VCR-like controls, or on your TV via the supplied Audio/Video cable. The T1i also offers HDMI output when using the optional HDMI Cable HTC-100. When playing movies back in-camera, sound is heard through the built-in speaker, and rotating the main control dial controls the volume.
