Pressing the playback button on the back of the camera enters it into playback mode. Here you can see all of the images that you have captured that are still stored on the camera's memory card. Pressing the DISP. button allows you to change the amount of information that is shown on the LCD screen about each image.

The zoom out/index button allows you to search through your stored images several thumbnails at a time. This is a fast and easy way to look through and find a certain image.

Next to the index button is the zoom button, allowing you to zoom in on an image. Once you have zoomed in on an image, you can use the 8-way controller to scroll around an image. This is a great way to check for focus and detail when you are in the field.

The 70D gives total control over movie playback. The controls are very similar to what you will find for your DVR or VCR. It has the capability of going frame by frame so you can see everything that you need to. The 70D also features some very simple and basic on-camera editing features. An HDMI output allows you to view your movies on any HDTV with an optional HDMI cable.
