Record mode screen display (on the color LCD or the eyelevel color viewfinder). Across the top (left to right) is the recording mode "P"rogram AE, the aperture (F2.8), shutter speed (1/10) and the exposure compensation value (0.0). The center square shows where the focusing will take precedence. On the bottom, the black bar is the internal RAM buffer, it fills and empties as you take pictures. The "24" indicates space remaining on the SmartMedia card in current resolution is sufficient for approximately 24 more pictures.

The C-2100 has the same type of full manual focus as the C-3030 Zoom. You get an onscreen display of the camera to subject distance and this can be in either feet or meters.

When you alter the focus in manual mode it displays a magnified view onscreen which makes it a lot simpler to actually "see" the proper focus point.
