The "S"hutter priority mode is identical except that the shutter speed would be
indicated in green. And of course "M"anual mode allows you to change both the
aperture value and shutter speed.

To go into MF (manual focus) mode you select it from the onscreen menu (see below) and
then change the focusing distance using the 4-way selector while watching the LCD
screen display. The screen display magnifies the center portion of the frame to
allow for more critical focusing. The distance is indicated in meters or feet
depending on a setup menu choice.

Multi-Spot metering allows you to specify up to 8 individual points to measure the
exposure value from and then averages them together to calculate the exposure value
for the scene. You enable Multi-spot metering, center the frame on the area you
want to evaluate and press the AEL button, repeat up to 8 times before capturing
the picture.

DIGITAL ZOOM - Enable or disable digital zoom function FUNCTION - Off, B&W, White Board or Black Board
CARD SETUP - Format the SmartMedia card MODE SETUP - MODE sub-menu (see the next frame below)
A/S/M MODE - Sets the function of the A/S/M position on the Mode Dial. AE LOCK - Sets the function of the AEL button (locks AE or enables Multi-Metering option, see frame above)

AF MODE - Normal or Spot autofocus FULL-TIME AF - Off or ON (continuous autofocus) REC VIEW - Off, On (displays image while saving), Check (displays image after capture, holds for confirmation to save or delete). FILE NAME - Reset or Sequentially number saved images
m/ft - Manual focus distance measured in meters or feet
![]() LCD screen display when recording QuickTime movie clips. 320x240 HQ resolution allows for 15 seconds of 15fps recording, 160x120 SQ resolution allows for 66 seconds of 15fps recording. The green 124" indicates the memory remaining is sufficient to record 124 seconds of movie clips at the current resolution.
There is no microphone so the motion JPEG sequences are silent.
