A Day in the Life of Everyday Astronaut – Tim Dodd

After purchasing an old Russian astronaut’s suit that was being sold by auction, Iowa-based Tim Dodd decided to create a series of photographs which he calls “A Day in the Life of Everyday Astronaut.” Capturing the creativity of a child that dreams of flying through space, Dodd’s usage of the suit in his photography is absolutely hilarious as well as adorable.

Dodd places his fictional astronaut in everyday situations, but never takes off the suit. Situations like sleeping watching movies, doing household chores, shopping or just dreaming up insane ideas like attaching rockets to the bottom of a lighthouse to launch it into orbit around the Earth.

Dodd works as a professional wedding and event photographer. After checking out his astronaut series, be sure to check out his main site here. You can also follow him on Facebook as well as Pinterest. In addition, there’s a Facebook page for the fictional Everyday Astronaut here.

Very creative, I have liked Tim Dodds Facebook page to stay connected with his work, he seems like an interesting man. I really love the images, perfect quality and again very creative. I do wonder sometimes how people come up with all the ideas I see on the internet. Thanks for sharing your article.
