Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S650

Playback screen has icons for battery condition, image size, File number, picture number / total number of pictures, exposure compensation, ISO, Flash mode, White balance, shutter speed, and aperture used. Across the bottom is the folder name, image file number and time and date.

Pressing the display button toggles the amount of information displayed, press it again to clear all of the overlay information, which is perfect for viewing images on a TV screen.

Playback index mode, nine thumbnail size images are displayed per page. Get to this mode by using menu in playback mode and then press the "W" on the zoom.You can quickly search through the stored images and display any one full screen by pressing center of the 4 way.

While viewing a picture full screen you can toggle the telephoto zoom control and zoom-in to the image in multiple steps up to 5x. Once magnified you can move the picture around using the 4-way selector. Then pressing the shutter will take what is on the screen.

Movie clip playback screen, audio is replayed through built in speaker.

Still image playback mode options:

    Folder - Change the current image folder
    Protect - Protect/unprotect images from accidental erasure
    DPOF - Attach DPOF printing information to image(s)
    Print - Print All In This Folder, DPOF image, Select, or This image
    Slide - Start slideshow, set interval time between images
    Resize - Resize image to 7M,5M,3M,2M,VGA,Cancel.
    Rotate - Rotate portrait mode images for TV display
    Setup - Enter the Setup menu

Images can be resized to smaller resolutions. 7M = Up to a 3/11 x 17 print, 3.2=Approximately 265 pics, 5M=Up to a 4/8 x 10, 3M=Up to a 5 x 7 print, 2M=Up to a 4 x 6 print, VGA= E-Mail,

SETUP options - CAMERA:

    Digital Zoom - Choose from Smart zoom,Precision,off.
    Red Eye Reduction - Enable/disable the flash Red-Eye mode
    Auto Review - On/Off, allows you to view an image immediately after it has been captured
    Function Guide - On/Off, displays explanation of exposure modes to help beginners
    Format - Format the memory card (Memory Stick or CF Type I),OK or Cancel.
    Create Rec. Folder - Creates the folder in which captured images will be stored
    Change Rec. Folder - Allows you to change from created folders
    Copy - Copy files between Memory Sticks
    LCD Backlight - Normal or Bright
    Beep - Camera "beep" sounds: Shutter, On, Off
    Language - Set the Menu language
    Initialize - Reset to default
    File Number - SERIES (sequential auto number) or RESET
    USB Connect - USB protocol: PTP, Mass Storage,PTP, PictBridge .
    Video Out - NTSC or PAL format
    Clock Set - Set the internal clock
