Here is the Auto twilight mode screen display. Minimal information is displayed and only a few parameters such as image size or recording mode can be changed. Upper left is the battery level that's constantly displayed. The image size is "8M"egapixels, the image folder is 101, there's space for 292 shots, a graphical icon of the Memory Stick, in the center are the Auto Focus area target marks and centered below the twilight icon is the icon telling you that "steady shot" is enabled.

Here's the screen when using Manual mode, it allows users to select both the shutter speed and aperture value, and displays exposure compensation to inform you if you are about to take a under or over-exposed picture (in this case, -0.3EV underexposed). The live image is displayed with the degree of under or over exposure that would result from current settings. Also shown in this image are the additional display options including the histogram.

When you rotate the mode dial a "virtual mode dial" is displayed. Select from: AUTO, Program Auto, Shutter-speed priority AE, Aperture priority AE, Manual, Movie,Twilight, Landscape, Twilight Portrait, Advanced Sports, Portrait and High Sensitivity.

Record Manual options:

    Image Size - 8M, 3:2, 5M, 3M, VGA, 16:9
    REC Mode - Normal, Burst, Bracketing (+-3, +-7, +-1.0)
    Color mode - Normal, Vivid, Natural, Sepia, Black & White
    Metering Mode - Multi, Center, Spot
    White Balance - Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Fluorescent (1,2,3), Incandescent, Flash or One-Push custom
    Flash Level - adjust flash intensity from -2 up to +2 in 1/3 increments
    Red Eye Reduction - Auto (only when a face is detected), On, Off
    Contrast - 0, +, -, auto
    Sharpness - 0, +, -
    Steady Shot - Auto, On, Off

The recording screen in the 640 Standard Movie mode. 640 Standard mode is VGA resolution 640 x 480 full screen @ 15fps with audio and the length is limited only by the space available on the memory card.

The Movie menu is called-up by depressing the MENU button. Options include Fine (640x480 30 fps), Standard (640x480 15 fps) or Video E-mail (320x240). The menu estimates the remaining recording time on the installed memory Stick. The other features include Color Mode, Metering Mode, White Balance and Steady Shot.
