GE has finally entered the Digital camera market with several exciting digicams for 2007. The GE G1 is the first model in their "G" series of compact cameras and features 7-megapixels of resolution combined with a 3x optical zoom lens as well as five stylish colors schemes to choose from: Red, Blue, White, Silver, and Black.

In addition to its compact and stylish design, the G1 offers and Electronic Image Stabilization mode, with helps reduce the effects of camera- shake in your photos. Other features include high ISO capabilities (up to ISO 1600), Face Detection AF, MPEG4 (640x480/320x240, 30 or 15fps) movie recording, 9-point autofocus system as well as a large 2.5-inch TFT color LCD display.

Camera data is stored in its 26 megabytes of internal memory and on optional SD/SDHC type memory cards (up to 4GB). The camera is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery that is good for up to 200 shots per charge. A small AC charger is included. Data is transferred to computer via USB and you can print directly to any PictBridge compatible printer. Still images are ExifPrint and PictBridge compatible.
