

Playback mode is entered by depressing the MODE button. Playback screen has icons for battery condition, protected image, DPOF printing, image
size, picture number / total number of pictures. Across the bottom is the folder name,
image file number and time and date.
Pressing the Monitor button toggles the display of the exposure compensation, ISO speed,
flash mode, aperture, shutter speed and the histogram graph. Press it again to clear all
of the overlay information for slideshow playback on the TV screen.
While viewing a picture fullscreen you can toggle the telephoto zoom control and
zoom-in to the image in multiple steps up to 5x. Once magnified you can scroll around
inside of the image using the 4-way selector.
Press the telephoto wide angle button to enter index mode, nine thumbnail size
images are displayed per page. You can quickly search through the stored images and
display one full screen.
Still image playback mode options:
Protect - Protect/unprotect images from accidental erasure DPOF - Attach DPOF printing information to image(s) Print - PictBridge USB direct printing (see next frame) Resize - Resize image to 5M, 3M, 1M or VGA resolution Rotate - Rotate portrait mode images for TV display Setup - Enter the Setup menu
The M2's Slide Show plays back still and moving images with background music on a TV or the camera's LCD and speakers; enter PLAY mode by depressing the MODE button, then depress the PHOTO/review button on the left side of the LCD. Slide Show playback options:
Music - Select from 4 background music themes, or Off Transition - Normal, Quick or Slow

The DSC-M2 can be connected directly to the Sony DPP-FP50 Picture Station photo
printer (or any PictBridge comatible printer.) This
is a personal 4 x 6" dye sublimation printer that makes photo-quality prints with the
same permanence as regular film photos.
Plug the regular USB cable into any PictBridge compatible printer and you can make photo prints
without need of a computer. Here are the screens shown during a PictBridge printing
session.
The Resize option lets you create a smaller image when needed. A 5-megapixel image
can be down-sized to 3M, 1M or VGA size.
The Rotate option lets you rotate portrait mode images for correct playback on the
LCD or TV screen.
Movies are played back full-screen, audio is replayed through the speaker.
Photos in the M2's Album can be played-back by depressing the MODE button followed by
the MOVIE/Album button to the left of the LCD. Album playback first displays a calendar
with the first photo recorded each day. Select the day using the 4-way controller or
Shuttle dial and Control button. Then select the photo using the same controls; scroll through the photos
using either the 4-way controller or Shuttle dial.
