Program mode is also fully automatic, but allows you full access to all the menu options shown below.

The Tv mode is Shutter-speed priority, you select the shutter speed from 2 seconds to 1/1000 second and the camera selects the proper aperture value.

The Av mode is Aperture priority, you select the aperture value from f/2.8 to f/8.0 is six steps and the camera selects the proper shutter speed.

The Manual mode lets you select both shutter speed and aperture value manually for total exposure control.
