When you select PLAY mode the last picture taken is displayed. You can move backward or forward through the images using the LEFT and RIGHT buttons. Very little overlay information is displayed.

You can quickly search through stored images using the Index playback function which is actuated by pressing the WIDE zoom button. Nine thumbnail size images will be displayed, press it again and thirty six images will be displayed. You can then select one using the 4-way controller and then pressing the SET button.

The image can be magnified in several steps by pressing the telephoto zoom button. Once the image is enlarged at any step, you can move around (Pan) inside of it using the 4-way controller.

Playback MENU options:

Protect - Protect image or movie against deletion
Erase - Single frame or All frames
Play Volume - Choose volume 0 - 7
Zoom Jump - Zooms in on selected image
Save to Calendar - Save image to calendar
Add Audio - Add a 10 second memo to an image
Rotate - Rotate portrait mode images 90° for proper orientation
Resize - Change the image resolution
Extract Still - takes a still image from a movie clip
Copy Image - Copy images from internal memory to the SD card or vise versa
Print Setting - Set the DPOF (Direct Print Order Format) info
Slideshow - Start an automatic playback of stored images

Playback of audio-only recordings.

Movie clips can be played in the camera or viewed on a TV using the supplied Audio/Video cable.

You can edit movies by extracting a single frame and save it as a still image.
