Here's the Auto (point-n-shoot) mode screen display. There is minimal
information displayed, you can see the image size "L"arge and quality
"FINE", battery level indicator, Auto flash is enabled, Single drive mode,
and there is enough room on our SD card for 222 pictures.
When you half-press the shutter release, the AF marks turn red and indicate the area in which will be focused.
Shown here are the menu options when using Auto record mode. You can change
the Image size and quality, Drive mode, File Number reset, set the Quickview
interval, and enable or disable the digital zoom.
In Shutter priority mode you set the shutter speed desired to freeze rapid action or
blur motion and the camera automatically selects the proper aperture setting.
In Aperture priority you set the desired aperture for control of depth of field and
the camera will automatically match the proper shutter speed.
In Manual mode you have control of both the shutter speed and aperture value.
In Macro mode the 6340z can cover 5 - 80cm (1.9 in. - 2.6 ft.) at Wide
Angle and 30 - 80cm (11.9 in. - 2.6 ft.) at Telephoto.
Movie Mode lets you record motion video at 640x480 or 320x240 with audio.
The length of a movie is limited only by the amount of available memory.
Movie clips are saved in MPEG-4 format (.mov). The zoom can be used to
compose the movie before recording, but during recording.
Recording options:
Quality Setup - Fine, Normal, Economy Image Size - 2848x2136, 2048x1536, 1408x1056 or 640x480 Image Quality - Fine or Normal Drive Mode - Single, Self-Timer (2 or 10 seconds) and Continuous EV Compensation - Exposure compensation ± 2.0EV in 0.3EV steps White Balance - Auto, Cloudy, Day light, Fluorescent or Tungsten ISO - Auto, 50, 100, 200 File No. Reset - On/Off Quickview - Off, 2 sec. or 10 sec. Digital Zoom - Off, On
The SETUP menu options let you adjust LCD Brightness, set Auto Off Time (1
to 10 mins.), turn Beep sounds On or Off, TV Option (NTSC or PAL), enable
print date, Format the internal memory or SD card, choose the menu language,
and set the Time & Date.
