One of the smallest digital cameras to date with an optical zoom, the new Canon Powershot SD110 Digital ELPH maintains all of the features found on its predecessor, the SD100, including the use of ultra-compact SD memory cards, and adds a new Print/Share button that speeds and simplifies printing (to PictBrige and Direct Print compatible printers) and transferring images to your PC. Like the PowerShot SD100, the SD110 is the smallest and lightest of the Digital ELPH series. With its ultra-compact size and rugged stainless steel body, the SD110 represents the ultimate in portability, durability and elegance. And with its 3.2 megapixel resolution you can make photo-quality prints as large as 8 x 10 inches.

The SD110 is a pocket-sized digital photo powerhouse, measuring 3.3 x 2.2 x 0.9 in.(85x56x23.9mm) and weighing a mere 5.8 ounces without battery or SD card. It packs a 3.2 megapixel imager and a superb all-glass Canon 2x (35-70mm equivalent) optical zoom lens (with a cross-section smaller than a dime) and a close focusing capability of 3.9 inches in macro mode. The SD110 also features the same level of shooting options as the advanced PowerShot cameras and records high resolution 640 x 480 movies with sound up to 30 seconds and up to three minutes at lower 320 x 240 and 160 x 120 resolutions. The SD110 uses Canon's proprietary DIGIC Image Processor to achieve higher picture quality and improve existing camera features. In addition, the SD110 uses Canon's exclusive iSAPS (Intelligent Scene Analysis based on Photographic Space) technology to enhance the speed and performance of the camera's autofocus, auto exposure and auto white balance functions while a 9-point AiAF autofocus system makes focusing quick and easy, even with off-center subjects.

The PowerShot SD110's Intelligent Orientation sensor detects whether an image has been recorded horizontally or vertically. During image playback, the sensor detects the proper orientation of each image, and previews them accordingly without the need to rotate the camera for image viewing. It also adjusts AF, AE and white balance accordingly. Similarly, when using the ZoomBrowser EX and ImageBrowser software included with the cameras, vertical and horizontal picture orientation is automatically detected and appropriately displayed.
