Rotate the Mode Dial to select one of the recording modes: Auto, Portrait,
Sports, Night, Landscape, Close-up, Movie, or Favorites.
Here is a screen showing the Macro ("Close Up") mode. The coverage is 13 -
70 cm (5.1 - 27.6 in.) in wide angle and 22 - 70 cm (8.7 - 27.6 in.) in
telephoto.
MENU options in still record: Exposure Compensation - Override metering by ±2.0EV in 0.5EV steps Picture Quality - Best 5.0MP (2560x1920), Best 4.4MP (3:2, 2560x1704), Better 3.1MP (2048x1536), or Good 1.7MP 1496x1122) White Balance - Auto, Daylight, Tungsten, Fluorescent ISO - Auto, 80, 100, 200, 400, or 800 when using "GOOD" picture quality Color - Color, Black & White or Sepia Exposure Metering - Multi-pattern, center-weight or spot Focus Zone - Multi-zone or center-zone Long Time Exposure - Select a shutter speed of 0.7, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, or 4.0 seconds Image Storage - Select internal memory or Auto Set Album - On or Off (Pre-select album names before shooting) Setup Menu - Enter SETUP menu
You can record either VGA (640x480, 13fps) or QVGA (320x240, 8fps) MPEG4
movies with audio. The length of the movie is limited only by the available
space on your memory card. You can select a maximum clip length of 5, 15 or 30
seconds if desired. The optical zoom can be preset before recording but not
during.
The MENU while in Movie Record mode:
Set Album - On or Off (Pre-select album names before shooting) Video Length - Choose the length value: unlimited, 5, 15, or 30 seconds Image Storage - Select internal memory or Auto Setup Menu - Enter SETUP menu
Pressing the Flash mode button lets you select the desired mode as displayed on the
color LCD screen.
The SETUP menu options:
Liveview - Color LCD on or off by default Camera Sounds - Choose the theme for camera sounds Volume - Turn off all sounds, or select a volume level Date & Time - Set the internal clock Video Out - Video output format - NTSC or PAL Orientation Sensor - On or Off Date Stamp - Choose a date option, or turn off Video Date Display - Choose a date/time option, or turn off Language - Choose the language Format - Format internal memory or memory card About - Display camera firmware revision number |
