Still images playback just like they do on a digital still camera. Using the virtual
buttons on the LCD you can move forward or backward through the images on the Memory
Stick using the "-" and "+" buttons. The CAM button takes you to record mode. The
INDEX button brings up the thumbnail playback mode and the FN button brings up the
menu overlays.

Page 1 lets you Delete images, Page 2 lets you magnify the playback image with the PB
ZOOM button or display the Data Code, see below. Page 3 lets you adjust the LCD
brightness or volume.

The Data Code display of Camera Data shows the shutter speed, aperture, flash mode and
exposure compensation.

The Data Code display of Date Data shows the time and date of exposure.

The INDEX playback mode displays six thumbnails per page so you can quickly search
through stored images and movie clips. Simply press the thumbnail image to display that
picture or movie clip. You can also MARK, MARK for DPOF or DELete images.

The PB ZOOM option lets you enlarge a still image up to 5X with many steps in between.
Use the zoom lever on top to zoom-in or zoom-out. At any magnification step you can
scroll around inside the image by pressing different places inside the outlined area.

MPEG movie clips are played back either in this small window or fullscreen by pressing
the SCRN SIZE button. Fullscreen images are somewhat blurry as even the highest
resolution movie clips are only 352x240 pixels.

This is the fullscreen playback of a MPEG movie clip.
Video Camcorder Playback Options

Each time a MICROMV cassette is inserted
into the camcorder or the VCR mode is used, cassette information is automatically
displayed on the LCD showing the first and last date of use, how much recording space
remains, and titling capability so the user can title the videotape.

The MICROMV tape provides up to 60 minutes of digital video recording and has a 64K
memory chip that allows for a multi-search function to access different recorded sections
of the tape as one would a DVD, creating a thumbnail image of each recorded scene on the
tape. Thumbnail images are created from the start of every recorded scene and, by
engaging the multi-search function, users can instantly access the scene of their choice.
In addition, an index titling function helps identify each thumbnail image with either a
pre-set caption or a customized scene title.

Playback of camcorder video via the VCR interface. The virtual buttons across the
bottom operate the playback functions just like a normal VCR.

Here's the three pages of sub-menu options while in the VCR playback mode.
