In Review mode the rear data LCD displays: Current image filename, image folder name, CF or SD card, Image type and resolution.

While scrolling through images in Single Review mode there is a location bar displayed on the bottom to let you know approximately where you are in the queue.

When reviewing images you can use the Right or Left portion of the 4-way selector to go forwards or backwards through the stored images. Pressing the selector Up or Down will "pop up" the display options shown above which are Single image review, Histogram and exposure information, Zoomed image or Multiple image (thumbnail) display.

When in Histogram display mode the thumbnail image will appear with the following information: White balance, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation. "ERI" means it is a ERI-JPEG image. It also displays a tag icon if it has been tagged.

In Zoom Display mode, the thumbnail for the current image appears with a Region of Interest box and luminometer crosshairs. The Region of Interest box includes the area of the image that will be displayed when you zoom in. If an image has been previously viewed in Zoom Display mode, the thumbnail image will begin at the last-used zoom level.

There are three zoom levels. The first zoom goes to 1:4 (one pixel displayed for every four in the image), the second to 1:1 and the third returns to un-zoomed 1:16.

The crosshairs in Zoom Display mode indicate the level of luminance channel saturation of pixels below the center of the crosshairs. This level is indicated on the status bar in stops (-3 to 3.25) and RGB values.

In Multiple Image display mode there are four thumbnails with the status bar below. The current image is highlighted.

The DCS Pro 14n is equipped with CompactFlash Type II card slot which offers a large variety of storage media types and capacities:

• CF Type I cards
• CF Type II cards
• IBM/Hitachi Microdrives

And below the CF2 card slot is a SecureDigital / MultiMedia Card slot. The camera can write to both storage media, and the image can be sent to each card simultaneously in any of the available formats.
