The Digital Rebel is PictBridge compatible, just plug the USB cable from the camera
directly into the special USB connector on the printer. Shown here is the new
Canon
i960 Photo Bubblejet printer. Canon is upgrading all of their inkjet photo printers
to be PictBridge compatible as well as their new 4x6" dye sub printers like the CP-200 and
CP-300.
The camera "knows" when it is connected to a PictBridge printer and displays a "SET" icon in the upper left hand corner. Press the SET button to enter the direct print menu. Here you select borderless, bordered, time/date stamp, # of copies, paper size, and can optionally trim the image to fit the 3:2 aspect ratio of 4x6" prints. Select your options and then hit the SET button to print - that's it, quick and simple, "no-computer needed" printing of your digicam images. |
