The Info display on the typical record screen does not contain much info as the top monochrome
LCD gives you most of the info. Above is the typical Manual Record screen and the only
difference with the Auto screen is the "M". There is no indication when the shutter release is
half depressed as to where the focus area is like many other digicams have. The only other
info we get from the screen is the Macro mode indicator, the 'shaking hand' indicating a
warning of slow shutter speed and Self Timer activation (not shown). There is no indication in
Manual mode of the exposure compensation or sharpness settings.

You can enlarge the image 4X by pressing the zoom control to the telephoto position. Once the
image is magnified you can then scroll around inside of it using the 4- way navigation
control. This is good for checking critical focus, color or composition on the small color
LCD screen.
![]() Pressing the MENU button while in Play mode brings up these screens of options. You can adjust LCD brightness, start a slideshow, copy from internal memory to a SD card, protect images from erasure, mark images for DPOF printing and Exit the menu. |
