

![]() The FinePix A200 employs a Fujinon optical lens that's equivalent to a 36mm lens on a 35mm camera. When the camera is powered down the lens is covered by a sliding lens protector. Below the lens is the focus selector for macro or landscape (infinity.)
The digital zoom is 2.5x/1.25x. The focusing range in Normal AF is from 31 in. to Infinity.

The eyelevel optical viewfinder has a field of view of approx. 80% of the captured image and
has no diopter adjustment. The LED indicates focus lock or power status. The eyelevel optical
real-image zoom viewfinder has a field of view of approx. 80% of the captured image. The "Slow
No Wake" photo on the Sample Photos page is shot using
the optical viewfinder and framing the sign in the upper left corner of the viewfinder. It
shows the additional image the lens actually captured that was never seen through the
viewfinder. It has no diopter adjustment and one LED is used to indicate focus and flash
status, it also indicates Movie recording is active or the camera is writing to the memory
card.

The flash has an effective range of 0.6ft to approx. 10ft. Flash modes available are: Auto,
Red-eye reduction, Forced flash, Suppressed flash or Slow syncro.

The DISPlay button in Record selects the LCD monitor ON/OFF or selects the four framing grid
lines. In Playback the DISPlay button toggles between Text display ON/OFF and Index thumbnail
mode. The MENU/OK button toggles the Menu on/off. While ON, the menu selections are navigated
with the 4-way and the OK button makes selections. The BACK basically stops any procedure
midway through.
On the side is the USB 1.1 port for downloading to the computer or PC Cam / Video Conferencing operation. The 5v DC INput jack is for an optional AC power adapter.
There is no video out feature.
![]() The FinePix A200 is equipped with a xD-Picture card slot and is supplied with a 16MB xD card. It's compatible with any xD card from 16MB to 128MB. The batteries are also located in this compartment. Recording capacity with included 16MB xD card:
![]() Power is supplied by a pair of AA type batteries (alkalines included.) The power consumption of this camera is quite low if you use the color LCD sparingly but we still recommend the use of rechargeable NiMH batteries. They're reusable and in the long run they will last longer and cost you less. |
