Typical Play mode screen, the last image captured is displayed full screen with only minimal details.

Pressing the INFO button on the side displays the exposure information including image size, quality, shutter speed, aperture, ISO value and flash mode. You also get a small histogram and the time and date.

Pressing the DISP button toggles into the thumbnail index mode, here you can quickly search through the captured images to display one full scree.

Pressing the Up part of the 4-way jog switch begins zooming in to the full screen image, there are many steps and the slider gauge on the left tells you where you are currently. You can pan around inside of the image or trim it.

At any zoom-in step you can pan around the image until you have it cropped the way you want it and then trim it and save it as a VGA-size image.






Playback Menu Options

The first page of the Play menu lets you delete the current picture, ALL pictures or format the SmartMedia card.

The second page is for starting an automated slideshow of you pictures.

From here you can protect or unprotect the current picture or protect or unprotect ALL pictures.

Set DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) information for the current picture or ALL pictures.




SETup Menu

Turning the Mode Dial to SET brings up the Setup menu with the following options:

  • FILE SIZE / QUALITY
      6M - 2832 x 2128 (HI/TIFF, FINE, NORMAL, BASIC)
      3M - 2048 x 1536 (FINE, NORMAL)
      1M - 1280 x 960 (FINE, NORMAL)
      VGA - 640 x 480 (NORMAL)

  • IMAGE DISPLAY
      POSTVIEW - Image is shown for 2 secs after capture
      PREVIEW - Image is shown after capture, prompt to save or discard
      OFF - No display, immediate save.

  • AUTO POWER SAVE - 2 mins, 5 mins or OFF

  • DATE/TIME - Set the internal clock

  • FRAME NO. - Continuously number or reset numbers

  • BEEP - Camera sounds; High, Low or Off

  • LANGUAGE - Menu language, English or French

  • RESET ALL - Resets all settings to default
